COP28: Rotary Hosts Panel Discussion on Peace and Environmental Sustainability

DUBAI, 30 November 2023 –Rotary is hosting a panel discussion titled "Ecology of Peace,” which will focus on the critical interplay between environmental sustainability and peace, examining the intricate relationship between ecological degradation and societal conflict. It aims to highlight how cross-sector collaboration can foster innovative solutions to these complex challenges.

The panel will also discuss the increasing challenges of natural resource conflicts and the intensified impact of natural disasters in the wake of climate change. A key feature of the session will be showcasing initiatives such as the Rotary Climate Forest within Africa’s Great Green Wall, illustrating practical examples of environmental and peace-building efforts.
