COP28: Rotary Hosts Panel Discussion on Mental Health effects of Climate Change

DUBAI, 30 November 2023 – Rotary is hosting a session titled "Climate Threats and Resilience in Mental Health" to address the critical intersection of climate change and mental health. A priority area under President Gordon McInally's leadership, Rotary has been committed to placing mental health at the forefront of its global initiatives.

The session aims to explore the mental health impacts of climate-linked disasters and the increasing phenomenon of youth eco-anxiety. Recognizing the urgent need for mental health considerations in climate crisis responses, Rotary emphasizes the importance of developing community-based approaches to reduce vulnerabilities to mental health impacts caused by climate change.
