RI Recognition of Outstanding Rotaract Projects
E ach year, Rotaract clubs worldwide submit details about their exceptional community or international service projects to RI.
Seven of these clubs are selected as Outstanding Rotaract Project Award recipients. Winning clubs receive a plaque and the opportunity to present their projects at the annual Rotaract Preconvention Meeting.
Starting in the 2012-13 Rotary year, you will be able to submit a nomination form online. Submitting nominations in this format will improve the award selection process and allow award recipients to be notified more quickly.
Additionally, there are new criteria for the award beginning in the 2012-13 Rotary year. Projects are evaluated on how much they excel in the following areas:
1. Impact and sustainability (25 percent);
2. Alignment with Rotary's six areas of focus and promotion of Rotary's commitment to change the lives locally and internationally (25 percent);
3. Collaboration with Rotarians and community organizations to enhance effectiveness (20 percent);
4. Innovation (15 percent);
5. Percentage of Rotaract club members involved in development and implementation of project (15 percent).
