T here are many ways to enhance your service project. Financial assistance is key, but it's just one of many ways to support a project. Donated goods and volunteer time are also important components for a project's success.
Working with donated goods
Use ProjectLINK to publicize a need for donated goods or to identify Rotary projects seeking specific items.
Keep in mind that donor and recipient clubs need to work closely together. Before shipping items internationally, determine whether the same items can be bought in the project country. Purchasing goods locally may be less expensive and better for the local economy. Also, be sure you understand customs regulations and procedures before shipping goods. Learn more.
An in-kind donation can make a tremendous impact on a community project. With proper planning, donated items can be as valuable as financial contributions.

Volunteering
How can I volunteer with Rotary?
Contact your local club or district Community Service or Vocational Service committee chair to let them know you’re available to volunteer. They can provide information about volunteer needs for club and district projects. Need help finding a club? Use the Rotary Club Locator tool.
If you are a volunteer looking for an international project that could use your expertise, search Rotary club and district projects on ProjectLINK. Contact the local project coordinator directly when you find a project that matches your interests and skills set.
How to find volunteers for my club's service project
Invite volunteers to help on your club's service project. Publicize a project in need of volunteers on ProjectLINK, using the ProjectLINK Submission Form: Project Seeking Support. Projects are posted on ProjectLINK for two years and can be reregistered or removed when the need has been met. Rotaract and Rotary Community Corps projects can be registered through their sponsoring Rotary clubs.
Volunteers can be a positive force in communities by sharing their knowledge and experience through hands-on participation. By embodying the spirit of Service Above Self, volunteers contribute to Rotary’s mission of advancing world understanding, goodwill, and peace.

Use Rotary Showcase to promote your club projects. This new online tool will give you the opportunity to highlight the project’s success, as well as, share your experiences, photos, and other media on Facebook.
