Visa tips

RI recommends that Rotarians who need a visa to enter the United Kingdom for the 2009 convention apply for one on or after 15 February.

Citizens of countries in the European Economic Area and of several other nations, including Australia, Canada, Japan, and the United States, do not require a visa for entry if they plan to stay in the UK for six months or less and have a valid, government-issued passport or national identity card. Travelers who don’t have this documentation must obtain a nonimmigrant visa.

Rotarians and other main registrants requiring a visa to attend the convention will automatically receive a letter of invitation from RI in PDF format along with their e-mailed registration confirmation.

Please be aware that RI Registration Services handles all forms on a first-come, first-served basis. If you don’t have e-mail, you’re encouraged to register early to allow time for processing and postal delivery of the confirmation packet.
