The eco-friendly Palais des congrès is the site of the breakout sessions, RI luncheons, and the House of Friendship. The Centre Bell, one of North America's largest and most technologically advanced arenas and home of a professional hockey team, hosts plenary sessions.
The two venues, situated within less than a mile (1.2 km) of each other, are connected by the métro's Orange Line. Located in downtown Montréal's International Quarter, the two venues are within walking distance of several restaurants, hotels, and attractions. See a map of Montréal's métro line .
Use the city's métro line to visit some of the events going on before, during, and after the convention, such as Les FrancoFolies and the Festival International de Jazz . Read more about Montréal festivals.
Unofficial affiliate events
Event registration deadline: 29 March 2010
Add to the fellowship of the convention by planning your own event. Unofficial affiliate events can include district and zone receptions, intercountry committee dinners, Global Networking Group meetings, and regional events.
The procedures form will give you an overview of the process. Your event can be held at a hotel (PDF) or the Palais des congrès . Download the convention center form .
Global Networking Group chairs may use the meeting request form (PDF) to reserve space for their groups to hold an annual meeting. However, any Global Networking Group chair that wants to plan events outside of the Palais des congrès should submit the UAE request for hotel space (PDF).

Learn the latest information about New Orleans to take back to your club and district. Open to all convention participants and their guests.
To register for preconvention and convention luncheons, please fill out a registration form or register online at Member Access . If you’ve already registered and would like to add or change an event, please contact RI Registration Services . After 31 March, tickets available due to cancellations or visa denials can be purchased on-site in the registration area.
Host Organization Committee events
Events organized by the host committee give convention goers the opportunity to experience Montréal's cultural offerings with local Rotarians.
These events, which were recently added and not included in the registration booklet, can be booked on the HOC Web site, www.rotary2010.com . All HOC event prices are in Canadian dollars.
An Evening at the Cirque

Marvel at the remarkable talent of rising young circus artists who train at the internationally renowned École nationale de cirque (National Circus School). As a pioneer of the circus renaissance, the school has contributed to the emergence of several circus companies, including Cirque du Soleil. Attend their graduation performance.

Kingston and the Thousand Islands Tour
