My suggestion for membership development in developing/under-developed countries, is that membership-fee should be considerably reduced for developing/under-developed countries, when more people of those countries can afford to join Rotary Clubs.

I have been a Rotarian for 45 years. I was President of our club 30 years ago. My daughter is now a Rotarian. Is there and provision to recognize a "family" in Rotary? There are several in our club that meet that distinction.

I'm certainly impressed by all the membership development materials, tips, and ideas I've found here on the RI website! Wow! Thanks!

I was shocked to read the message written by Rtn Vasudevan . On one side we are talking about the 4 way test and the high ideals of Rotary and on the other we are unable to prevent disasters[ retention of new members- new clubs] as that of Rotary Coimbatore Heritage. A club facaing closure before they reach their first anniversary. Thia is shockking and make one loose faith in Rotary. After i read the message i felt i must pray to all concerned to help bring friendship in rotary and not close our eyes to the problems of our brothers in Rotary Heritage. The good samaritans of Rotary please save such disasters.

Has anyone had success in using a Re-Chartering process to revive a dieing club? I am looking for success stories to rebuild a club of 15 members. What I am suggesting is the club approach the process like a Provisional Rotary club and work towards 20 plus members and actually have a Re-Chartering night and re-present the club’s charter. Has anyone done this?

I am grateful for the support of the Membership staff at RI. They have been incredibly supportive during the Presidential conferences as well as continuing to provide detailed information about the districts in my Zone. Job well done! With regard to the COL and allowing alumni as members in the alumni classification, I am totally for it. These are people who have felt the support of the foundation first hand and are probably some of the best supporters of the Foundation programs of any people I know. We have long talked about all the people we invested in and the poor rate of return on the investment. This is a perfect way to maximize that investment. Now all we need to do is ask them to join!
