Assistant governor
Assistant governors are appointed annually by the district governor to assist in the administration of their assigned clubs and to help incoming club presidents prepare for their year in office and for the governor's official visit. They also advise their assigned clubs on strategies for achieving goals, visiting each at least four times a year.
Qualifications
- Active membership and good standing in a club within the district for at least three years
- Service as a club president for a full term
- Outstanding performance at the district level
- Potential for future leadership in the district
Responsibilities
- Help incoming club presidents assess their clubs and develop goals
- Visit each club regularly, and offer guidance and assistance as needed
- Assist club leaders in scheduling and planning for the governor’s official visit
Training
Assistant governors complete
district team training before their year of service. They also participate in the training of club leaders at
presidents-elect training seminars and
district assemblies.
